To take screenshots in windows:

  1. Press the “PrtSc” (printScreen) button on the upper right corner. The photo will be saved at clipboards and once you press “Control V“, the photo will be pasted. However this button can only take shots of the whole screen and this key only appears on certain keyboard but not others.
  2. Press Windows(the 4-square logo) shift S to take shotscreen with a cropping tool where you can select certain areas. The photo will be saved at clipboards and once you press “Control V“, the photo will be pasted.

To take screenshots in MacOS:

  • Press ⌘Command ⇧Shift 4 to to take shotscreen with a cropping tool where you can select certain areas. The photo will be saved at clipboards and once you press “Control V“, the photo will be pasted. You can also change the location where pictures will be saved at conveniently: clipboard, desktop, documents, mail, etc if you have a bar.
  • Press Command shift + 3 to screen shot the full screen
  • Press Command Shift + 5 to start record your screen.

Show your desktop

It’s a quite common situation when someone rush into your room without even knocking the door. And it becomes extremely embarrassed when you are doing something on your computer personally. Try to use this tip to reduce such situation.

For Windows:

Win + D

Move your cursor to the right down corner to temporarily show the desktop (Take a break fromyour work!)
